DESCRIPTION: 1 ALS (framed) dated 12/24/1962 from Lucius D. Clay, signed as "Authorized Representative, Committee of Cuban Families," Washington, D.C., to J. Peter Grace, Jr., of the Grace National Bank in New York. The letter, in effect, brought about the release of American prisoners held by Castro's government in Cuba after the Bay of Pigs. In the letter, Clay indicated the terms of a loan between the Cuban Families Committee and the Grace National Bank. 1 TL version (also framed) of the same letter is also contained in this folder. The letter was donated to the Georgetown University Library by Francis D. Flannagan.
